The Doric String Quartet are in Fuglsang in Denmark giving a performance of Mozart, Britten and Beethoven string quartets (6 October)
The Doric String Quartet give performances of Haydn, Britten and Schubert at Turner Sims Concert Hall, Southampton (24 September) and Jersey Arts Centre (25 September). The Doric String Quartet are performing as part of Mendelssohn on Mull Festival at Tobermory (2 September), Duart Castle (3 September) and St John’s Cathedral, Oban (7 September) including repertoire by Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Britten. They will also perform with 10 young professionals in a variety of ensembles during the week.

The Doric String Quartet’s Britten and Purcell (chamber music); Adam Walker’s performance of Huw Watkins’ Flute Concerto (contemporary); Steven Osborne’s outstanding CD of Beethoven Sonatas Nos 30 – 32 (instrumental).
The Doric String Quartet make their debut at the Edinburgh International Festival (21 August) where they join forces with Australian-born composer Brett Dean to give the first European performance of Dean’s String Quartet No. 3 "Hidden Agendas” (co-commissioned by the festival). Dean himself joins the Doric players for the soaring melodies of Brahms’s powerful, orchestral-scale Second String Quintet to close.
The two programmes include Schubert, Beethoven and Haydn String quartets, as well as Brett Dean’s newest work, String Quartet No 3 Hidden Agendas .
This week, the Doric String Quartet renews its collaboration with pianist Jonathan Biss with a performance at the Wigmore Hall on Monday 3rd June 2019
This week, the Doric String quartet embark on their 2019 US Tour featuring concerts in Harvard, Burlington, Philadelphia, Schenectady, Harrisburg, Oberlin and Colombia.
This weekend, the Doric String Quartet will perform Mozart’s Quartet K575, Bartok’s Quartet No 5, and Schubert’s Quartet D887 at the Wigmore Hall.
This week the Doric String Quartet are in Snape Maltings recording the complete Britten String Quartets with Chandos, to be released in 2019. They will then perform in concerts as part of the Britten Weekend in Snape Maltings (19th- 21st October), exploring Britten’s background and influences, alongside guest artists and emerging chamber music ensembles.
This week, the Doric String Quartet are travelling to Germany to perform in Hamburg and Dortmund. On Monday 8 October, they perform a concert of Haydn Op 33, Britten Op 94 and Schubert Quartet in G (D887) in the Laeiszhalle Hamburg.
On Sunday 9th September, the Doric String Quartet will be performing in a coffee concert at the Wigmore Hall in London.
