On Sunday 19 May, Anoushka Shankar and her band perform Passages , a work fusing the minimalist traditions of the West and of India, composed by Phillip Glass and the late Ravi Shankar. This takes place at the Great Hall Pierre Boulez at the Philharmonie.
Anoushka Shankar embarks on a US tour promoting her new album ‘Reflections’, with the first performances in Stafford and Austen last weekend. The rest of the tour sees her travelling to seven other states, including venues in Kansas City, Atlanta, Miami and Washington DC.
This week, Anoushka Shankar travels to the Netherlands to perform in a series of Concerts with the Metropole Orkest Strings conducted by Jules Buckley and frequent collaborator, Hang player, Manu Delago.
On Saturday 21 April, Anoushka Shankar performed Ravi Shankar's Concerto No. 3 for Sitar with the Pacific Symphony at Carnegie Hall.
On Tuesday 15 August, Anoushka Shankar performs Passages by Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall
