We are delighted to announce that Vadym Kholodenko has won the 2018 Diapason D’Or of the Year in the piano category for his CD of solo works by Scriabin (Harmonia Mundi).
This latest award follows accolades for his recordings of concertos by Grieg, Saint-Saëns and Prokofiev, with the second instalment of his Prokofiev Piano Concerto cycle released next February. The award ceremony in Paris came during a busy autumn for the 2013 Cliburn winner, alongside recitals in Tokyo, Vienna Konzerthaus, Milan, Warsaw and Wigmore Hall (2 December) whilst orchestral engagements include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Weimar and Copenhagen Philharmonic.
