This week the Doric String Quartet are in Snape Maltings recording the complete Britten String Quartets with Chandos, to be released in 2019. They will then perform in concerts as part of the Britten Weekend in Snape Maltings (19th- 21st October), exploring Britten’s background and influences, alongside guest artists and emerging chamber music ensembles.
This week is the Final week of the Russian State Symphony tour of the UK, with each concert featuring Chloe Hanslip's performance of Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No 1.
After a successful run of Performances in Glasgow, Milngavie and Haddington, the Quartet perform today at Perth for a BBC Lunchtime concert, which will be a delayed broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
