Weekly News: The DORIC STRING QUARTET embarks upon a tour for Music in the Round, visiting Milton Keynes (1 Feb), Portsmouth (3 Feb) and Warwick (5 Feb). Having received outstanding reviews for their recent album of Schumann String Quartets (Disc of the Month in BBC Music Magazine, Editor’s Choice in Gramophone), this week also sees the release of their next CD for Chandos, Korngold’s String Sextet and Piano Quintet.
