the only question is how high he might climb. He has a light but ravishing tone and a bow arm that made even the fastest runs flow like liquid

At the age of 14, American violinist Stefan Jackiw made a sensational debut with the Philharmonia at the Royal Festival Hall and “took the London music world by storm” (The Strad). Reviewers consistently praise his flawless technique, beautiful tone and a maturity which belies his age, with one review comparing him to a young Perlman (Boston Globe).
Still only 24 he has performed with America’s leading orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras, whilst in Europe he recently performed with the Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin. His first CD of Brahms Sonatas was released last autumn on Sony.
