Mark Kaplan was one of the orchestra's major finds.
With his flawless technique and masterly command of the most complex of works, American violinist Mark Kaplan’s experience and musicianship is greatly admired by conductors. Having earned a reputation as a master of twentieth century repertoire (notably works by Stravinsky, Berg, Prokofiev, Barber and Walton), Mark Kaplan is now returning to the classical concertos of Mozart and Beethoven.
In a career spanning over 30 years Mark Kaplan has performed with some of the world’s finest conductors and all the major orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony and New York Philharmonic Orchestras.
Kaplan’s extensive discography includes concerti by Paganini, Wieniawski, Berg, Bartok, Dohnanyi, Lalo, Nono, Stravinsky and recital repertoire by Bach, Schumann, Schubert, Bartok and Saraste.
